KIMA is constructing a pedestrian bridge with electric elevators as an alternative to the closed railway crossing in Aswan.

As part of the state's development plan to enhance safety and security for citizens, and under the leadership of His Excellency President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi, and within the framework of the Egyptian Chemical Industries Company (KIMA)'s corporate social responsibility plan, the foundation stone was laid today for the construction of an elevated pedestrian bridge equipped with elevators, replacing the closed KIMA railway crossing in Aswan Governorate.

The foundation stone laying ceremony was attended by Major General Dr. Ismail Kamal, Governor of Aswan; Engineer Amr Lashin, Deputy Governor of Aswan; Professor Dr. Loay Saad El-Din, President of Aswan University; Professor Dr. Faisal Abdel Hamid, Director of the Aswan branch of the Arab Academy for Science, Technology and Maritime Transport; and a number of executive, academic, and community leaders. The project aims to improve traffic safety and protect lives. It is being fully funded by KIMA and implemented according to the highest technical and engineering standards, in coordination with the relevant authorities.

Eng. Sameh Talaat, Managing Director and CEO of KIMA, affirmed that this project reflects the company's ongoing commitment to supporting the local community in Aswan Governorate. He noted that KIMA, a leader in the fertilizer and chemical industry in Egypt, spares no effort or resources in serving the community in which it operates. The company is keen to expand its community and development initiatives to contribute to improving quality of life, enhancing safety, and solidifying the concept of effective partnership between state institutions and the industrial sector.

KIMA… A partner in development, and a social responsibility translated into tangible projects on the ground.
